It was a great weekend for the Junior Players in The PJ Nolan Academy of Champions members in the Celtic Challenge in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club Carlow.
David Cassidy and Tom Hogan captains of the teams received the perpetual cup from Jim Leacy and John Dobson on behalf of their teams.
Academy stars: David Cassidy, Daniel O Regan, Ryan Cronin, Daniel Dempsey, Josh Boileau and Glen Doyle played superb in the under 16 team.
Tom Hogan, Aaron Tobin, Craig Roberts, Dylan Scully, David Shoer and Kenny Wight played brilliant for the under 14 team to win the title for the Irish to start the big celebrations in Carlow.
As their coach I was so proud of the way the players trained on the practice days before the championship and really listened to what was needed to be practiced for the event.
They played as a team and were strong when they needed to be and they beat in my opinion some of the best junior players in the world on the Welsh team.
Well done boys and keep up the great training !
