WPBSA Official Snooker Coach

This week PJ Nolan became an official W.P.B.S.A. World Snooker Coach.

PJ was invited by the WPBSA to attend a two day intensive training course in the England Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Steve Davis, Terry Griffiths and Chris Lovell conducted the two day seminar which covered all aspects of the game and PJ becomes the first ever WSA coach from the Republic Of Ireland.

How to book a Lesson

My Champions Academy uses state of the art technology by recording the lesson and the players receive a DVD to bring home and study.

The players also receive a specific Snooker or Pool training program to suit their standard.

The Academy Base

The home base of the P.J. Nolan Academy of Champions will be the New Ivy Rooms Snooker Club Carlow in the Republic of Ireland

The Academy will be now be available for all Irish snooker players and International players to receive professional Snooker Coaching and Training from PJ.

The snooker club contains 11 Wiraka Silver leg Championship Tables and 1 Riley Professional Match Table.  

My Champions Method

I have been very lucky to have worked with some fantastic snooker players.

I have learnt that every snooker player has their own individual style of play and no two players are alike.

Every Snooker Coach around the world has their own ideas on how to coach and play the game.

I believe there is not one set way and almost everything can be adjusted to suit the player.

Snookered Magazine

'Snookered' magazine is a monthly, digitally interactive magazine aimed at an audience who love all Cue sports around the world.

The magazine is a mix of news, interviews and from next month will feature a new Coaching section from P.J. Nolan and his 147 Academy.

The site comprises of news articles on all cue sports plus on-line shop, photo gallery and calendar.

Appointed European Coach

The E.B.S.A have announced the appointed of PJ Nolan from the Republic of Ireland as the head snooker coach in the European Snooker Coaching Foundation.

PJ said this week : It is a great honour for me to become the senior coach in the E.B.S.A. Coaching foundation.

I would like to build on the success achieved  by Terry and Wayne Griffiths since the foundation was started in 2004.

Cue Sports India Camp 2012

Academy Of Champions Coach PJ Nolan has been invited to coach in India by Cue Sports India.

PJ will hold another snooker training workshop to coach and guide the new and up and coming Indian Cueists.

PJ held a workshop in May last year and the new workshop will be held in New Delhi from the 2^nd to the 10^th January 2012.

Shachar Hits Two 147 Breaks

Last week I travelled to Tel Aviv in Israel to hold another snooker training camp for 17 year old Shachar Ruberg.

Shachar is fast becoming one of the top junior snooker players in Europe.

Shachar joined the PJ Nolan Academy in 2009 and each year there has been a dramatic improvement in his overall snooker game for the young Israeli school boy.

The Ken Doherty Academy

Professional snooker player Ken Doherty has opened his own Snooker Academy in the Republic of Ireland.

The Ken Doherty Snooker Academy will aspire to produce the next Irish world snooker champion and also target foreign markets to bring the worlds best talent to Dublin.

The Academy has appointed P.J. Nolan who became an official world snooker coach this year as the head coach.
